Maale Adumim Book Swap

Maale Adumim Book Swap

It’s an event that takes place twice a year. Five or six THOUSAND English books…all donated and then sold for charity. It’s about community; it’s about dozens of volunteers working together. It takes place in May and in November.

Just a reminder that we are days away from the Maale Adumim Book Swap – which will be held this Wednesday and Thursday (May 17 and May 18).

Charities supported by the 14th Maale Adumim Book Swap are:

Melabev: Melabev is a non-profit organization specializing in Alzheimer’s and dementia care for people including those diagnosed with early onset dementia. The day centers are the core of Melabev and allow clients to remain living in their homes and communities while enjoying a rich social atmosphere with therapeutic activities. It is a place where people are brought back to life who, due to their disease, have lost touch with the world. (Melabev.org.il)
SHALVA – we will again support this important organization as we daven for a refuah shlayma for Asher ben Eli Fruma Zahava

Hadassah Children’s Hospital – we will be making a donation to furnish the Children’s Emergency Room with some toys as we daven for a refuah shlayma for Asher ben Eli Fruma Zahava
A small donation will be given to the family of Tzvika Cohen, who was critically injured in an attack at the Maale Adumim mall. It will be considered as a gift from Maale Adumim residents as we continue to daven for refuah shlayma and continued health.

Donations will be made to Rav Katz and Rav Aviner for special funds to go to needy families in Maale Adumim.

A small donation will be given to Rabbi Meir Baal HaNess tzeduka in Jerusalem for their ongoing work helping needy families.

We hope that everyone will come and buy books so that we can support these charities and many more in the future. Tizku l’mitzvot.

Hi, I read about your wonderful work in In Jerusalem.
I am clearing some of the books from our house and I would like to donate them to you
for your book swap. I do not have a car and wonder if anyone can collect from Har Nof?
I realize the next book swap is May 2018 but I really would like the books gone before then. I would appreciate your reply. Thankyou.
